On the tour of Nine Mile, your knowledgeable Rastafarian guide will introduce you to the foundation & share the personal stories of the lifestyle that was the beginning of the King of Reggae’s life.

Bob Marley grew up in this home with his mother Cedella Marley Booker and his grandfather Omeriah Malcolm who was known as a “Natural Mystic.”

It is through the rich but simple life at Nine Mile, that the foundation and philosophy of Bob Marley’s artistry was born. The tour takes you through the home where Bob was born. It is the same place that his mother and her siblings were also born and raised. The small home is still very authentic in its furnishings and its flavor. Many of the decor is handmade, as was typical of the lifestyle and time, immersing yourself in a magical world that takes you back to when things were simple but the people who enjoyed them lived an abundant life.

On the walls of the home, now a museum, see original artifacts & recordings that can only be found here.

Stay the day with us, Nine Mile is a one-of-a-kind experience. Enjoy a cooked meal to share with us as you listen to live music and just relax. You are in rarefied air and great company. Both Bob and his mother were talented singers, and their home has always been a musical one.

The tour duration is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes, but the feeling will stay with you forever. Come experience life, the nine-mile way.
