Where It
All Started

For some, it’s an adventure into the mystical hills of 9 Mile Jamaica.  For some, it’s discovering the origin story and roots of a famous musician. And for others, it’s a pilgrimage to visit the birth and resting place of the global legend, Robert Nesta Marley.  We invite you all to explore Reggae Land with us!

Bob Marley was born on February 6th, 1945 to Cedella Edith Malcolm right here in the house that still stands on our grounds. The property is still owned and operated by his brother, Richard Booker.  Guests never know who they may run into while visiting us! 9 Mile will always be our family home and our proud roots!

Reggae Land is located in 9 Mile Jamaica in the parish of St Ann.  Take a tour with us to discover the birthplace of Bob Marley, view some of his personal artifacts in our museum, visit sites of inspiration behind some of his famous songs, pay your respects to him at his final resting place in our chapel, enjoy some original murals and artwork on our property, and enjoy an authentic Jamaican meal in our restaurant.

One day may not be enough, stay with us overnight too! Experience the peaceful sounds and cool air of Reggae Land after dark and stay overnight with us in one of our rooms available for rent.

We offer round trip transportation services to Reggae Land from major cities including Kingston, Ocho Rios, and Montego Bay.

You’ll be smilin’ and singing along to Bob Marley’s music with us in no time!  Bring the whole family to discover Reggae Land!
